The inspiration to form this company has been necessitated by the growth of the Energy Efficiency Industry and Renewable Energy sector whose main objective is to reduce both the energy demand and consumption thereby helping to avoid the current Eskom Load shedding.
Having observed the shortfall of skills for the young black youth to fully participate within this new market, Energo Power provides skills development programs to young black South Africans that give them a platform to learn and gain through training. This company offers training to mostly FET college graduate who have N3 to N6 electrical/mechanical.
Through our link to the University of Fort Hare, Energo Power Solution provides a platform to post graduate students who do research and internship with Energo Power Solution, giving them a real industry environment. By engaging and having ties with the University, the company will fully exploit the research aspect of the dynamics of the changing energy industry.
Energo Power Solutions Consultancy is a black owned initiative whose main foundation is derived from the past experience of both strong research based consultant work done under the banner of University of Fort Hare. The founder, Doctor Michael Simon, who is the current Measurement and Verification Team leader at the University of Fort Hare, has been in the energy fraternity for over 9 years conducting both research and contract work to a variety of clients. Eskom IDM has been our biggest client in offering M&V services. Although the company has been established a year ago, the Director and the staff compliment are not new to this field since all are coming from the previously Fort Hare M&V team.
